Working below the c-suite has never been more challenging.

The complexities and complications from an ever-changing world lead to an ever-changing workplace.

The never-ending nature of the pandemic and the return to work, worries about the economy, war, and confusion about politics home and abroad, adds to an unprecedented level of stress on leaders.

And at work, there’s never been a bigger gap between support given and results expected.

It’s a recipe for disaster.

For executives, or the people on their teams, a professional executive coach makes all the difference.

Eric Goeres, a professional executive coach, specializes in providing support to mid and senior level executives — directors, managers, team leaders, senior project managers. The people who make the company run. The people situated right in between the demands of the c-suite and the needs of the operational employees. An investment in professional executive coaching at this level has a profound effect on the executives coached, the teams that report to them, and the effectiveness of the whole organization.

Let’s get into it.

Hi, I’m Eric Goeres.

I’m an effectiveness-focused executive coach who supports leaders just below the c-suite.

Eric Goeres, age 48, has two and a half decades of experience in branding, marketing, advertising, product development, copywriting, information architecture, user experience, public relations, creative direction, information technology, operations, finance, and business management. He is on the board of directors of two technology companies, has founded five startups, worked at 12 magazines, and was an executive at four major corporations.

He is a Coach Training Alliance (CTA) trained & certified career coach and professional International Coaching Federation (ICF) member coach, a European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC) credentialed coach, pursuing an ICF PCC credential in 2022. He is a member of the ICF South Florida chapter and a member of the ICF South Florida Outreach Committee.

After 23 years in New York City, he now resides in Miami Beach.

The process.

All in life is a process, and my developmental coaching style is no different. Using a simple, well understood and articulated process ensures success, time after time.

Developmental coaching is different from performance coaching.

Performance coaching pushes a client to a goal, and works at a very superficial level. For example, Alec Baldwin’s transactional and unenlightened A-B-C speech in Glengarry Glen Ross is a pretty explicit example of traditional performance coaching. That’s not what we do here.

Developmental coaching is solutions oriented, with goal posts in mind. But instead of focusing on the 1-2-3 actions to get to the goal, we move into the issues and obstacles that would otherwise prevent you from successfully, efficiently, and noticeably reaching that goal.

As issues resolve, you will find that being increasingly effective requires less effort and causes less stress. Your impact will increase within the organization, and people will notice. Your career will shift into a higher gear and flourish. And the positive effects will spill over into your personal life, too.

Step one: Explore

You get familiar with the coaching process. The discussion unpacks your current realities: situations, circumstances, people, issues and blind spots. If desired, you can choose to employ assessments such as personal values, the Gallup/CliftonStrengths, Meyers-Briggs, Positive Intelligence or a private 360-degree review.

Step two: Identify and Visualize

This is solutions-focused blue sky work. You have the chance to develop new ways of thinking and perspectives — which inevitably unearths new opportunities and possibilities. Naturally, this will also uncover new challenges and obstacles, which you will quickly overcome with fresh ideas.

Step three: New Actions

You’re seeing different and thinking different, and you will want to act different. More powerful, impactful, and noticeable. You will design, develop and employ new voices, habits, and actions. You will stabilize and make permanent these new actions through positive feedback loops and repetition.

What results can you expect from working with Eric?

I’m there for my clients need to talk through tough problems and situations that are critical to their own well-being or the well-being of the organization. I keep my clients well-tuned, moving forward, on track, and making smart moves. And when my clients are on track, that means their teams and projects are on track, too.

A free consultation.

Get in touch and we’ll set up a simple call between you and me. You don’t need to prepare, but you can come with a list of things to talk about. Or not. Just show up as you are — and we’ll take it from there.

Proposal and pricing.

After we talk, I will send you a written proposal, in plain English, that explains everything; All the support, services and benefits that are included with my coaching packages — and pricing options.

We get to work.

If you decide to work with me, we work in phases, all custom-tailored for your maximum benefit. We start with a client intake and situational assessment (according to you) and then we get into developmental planning.

And then your career takes off.
